
Chief Warrent Officer Gatti enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on September 21, 1993 and attended Basic Training at TRACEN Cape May, New Jersey. Upon Graduation, his first tour of duty was USCGC KENNEBEC in Portsmouth, Virginia. Subsequent assignments include U.S. Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach, Florida, USCGC NANTUCKET in Key West, Florida, Executive Petty Officer USCGC BLUEFIN in Fort Pierce, Florida, Officer In Charge U.S. Coast Guard Station Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USCGC CHASE in San Diego, California, and Commanding Officer USCGC MATINICUS and USCGC SAPELO in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
CWO Gatti's awards include Coast Guard Commendation Medal with "O" device, Coast Guard Achievement Medal with three gold stars and "O" device, Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon with Hurricane device, Secretary's Outstanding Unit Award, Coast Guard Unit Commendation with "O" device, Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation with two gold stars and "O" device, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation with two gold stars and "O" device, "E" Ribbon, Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal with three bronze stars, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, DOT 9-11 Ribbon, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon with two bronze stars, Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon with two bronze stars, Overseas Service Ribbon, Coast Guard Rifle Marksmanship Ribbon and Coast Guard Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
