Sector Miami's Response Enforcement Division is responsible for administration of several of Sector Miami's responsibilities including Law Enforcement, CG Auxiliary, Port Waterways and Coastal Security/Homeland Security (PWCS/HLS), Public Affairs visits, and special projects. The division directly oversees the scheduling, deployment and administration of eight patrol boats and Sector's four multi-mission stations. Due to the operational nature of this division, the Enforcement Division works very closely with the Sector Command Center, and all of its members are required to qualify as a Situation Unit Leader (SITL) in the Command Center, and later serve as Response Duty Officer (RDO).
The Enforcement Division is responsible for organizing Sector Miami's monthly CO/OINC Teleconference and also assigns project officers for such projects as the Organization of American States General Assembly, POTUS visits, The McDonald's Air and Sea Show/Fleet Week, Presidential Debates, Caribbean Defense Minister's Conference, MTV Video Music Awards, and any other maritime events.
Working with the Planning Division, the Enforcement Division also organizes and writes Operation Orders and Operation Plans to coordinate Sector Miami's stations and cutter's port security and law enforcement response including operations supporting Operation Home field Advantage, Operation Blue Advantage, and Operation Neptune Shield.
The Enforcement Division chief can be reached at (305) 535-4312.
