Master Chief Petty Officer Jason K. Wong
Master
Chief Petty Officer Jason K. Wong reports to Sector Saint Petersburg from
the US Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas. Master Chief Wong
enlisted in the Coast Guard in September 1993 and attended recruit training
at USCG Training Center Cape May, NJ.
Prior to attending the Sergeants Major Academy, Master Chief Wong was
assigned to Recruit Training at Training Center Cape May, NJ as a Company
Commander and Section Commander. He completed his tour at Cape May as the
Battalion Commander. As the senior enlisted member in the Recruit Training
Battalion, Master Chief Wong directly supervised 63 Company Commanders, and
managed the day-to-day operations of recruit training. His other assignments
include ISC Honolulu, HI; CGC Point Evans, HI; ISC Portsmouth, VA; CGC
Vigilant, FL; and Training Center Cape May Health Services Center, NJ.
Master Chief Wong’s
awards include three Coast Guard Commendation Medals, Coast Guard
Achievement Medal, two Comdt’s Letter of Commendation, Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, five Good Conduct Medals, and numerous other
individual and unit awards. He has
earned the Permanent Cutterman and Company Commander Insignias.
