Capabilities
The clinic maintains a supply of many common over-the-counter (OTC) medications available for sign out. The clinic, being staffed with Health Services Technicians can provide routine and emergency healthcare services, assess and diagnose various conditions including prescribing medications and administering immunizations. Check-Out Policy
Per the Medical Manual: COMDTINST M6000.1C Ch.4.A.3.b, at no time shall individual members keep or maintain their own health record. If there is a need to check out your health record for an appointment, the member shall report to the clinic and complete and sign the Health Record Receipt Form (NAVMED 6150/7). The Health Services Technician (your designated Health Record Custodian) shall place the record in an envelope, hand it to the member, and tell the member to return the record as soon as possible following the appointment. Some members are finding they are delinquent in 'tests'. HIV (lab draws) can be obtained by contacting a HS who will submit a standing lab order which can be drawn at either NAS Mayport or NAS Jax. Reservists can notify HS3 Rowley who can also set up a standing order or arrange for a unit wide draw, as necessary. |
