Moderation in the
Use of Alcohol is the Key
Decide before you start how many drinks you will
have; Create your own limits and stick to them.
Put a time limit on your drinking; Don’t just drink;
do something else entertaining.
Don’t make the drinking the main and only activity.
Don’t drink out of boredom: If you’re bored get up
and do something active.
Alternate non-alcoholic drinks: Make every other or
every third drink non-alcoholic.
Don’t drink on an empty stomach: Eat while you drink especially high protein foods
with liquor, use mixes - Especially something with food value such
as fruit juice
Don’t drink if you are taking other drugs; Alcohol and drugs don’t mix; That goes for
prescription drugs, too.
Think of getting DRUNK as something to feel worried
about, it is
Be concerned if you take a drink because you need it.
If hangovers are bothering you less, be concerned; It
probably means that your body is beginning to adapt to excessive
amounts of alcohol
Remember that if you routinely take more than 4
drinks a day, you will begin to harm your body.
