LTJG Hudson played lacrosse at the United States Coast Guard Academy and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Government and Public Policy. Upon commissioning, LTJG Hudson served as Deck Watch Officer on board USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC 615), home ported in Portsmouth, NH. LTJG Hudson is a native of Jacksonville, FL and is the son of Michael and Barbara Hudson.

LTJG Hudson assumed command of USCGC DOLPHIN (WPB 87354) on July 10, 2012.

BMC Cory R. Evers reported aboard USCGC DOLPHIN in June 2011. BMC Evers is a permanent cutterman with over seven years of cumulative sea time. His previous units include:
