The Chaplain's Office is staffed by a full-time Protestant Chaplain and a civilian Religious Programs Management Assistant. A Catholic Chaplain is available Saturday evening through Monday morning. The Chaplain's Office has a lending library with great family videos and reading material available for check out at no cost. This is a busy office which offers a variety of services as outlined below:

PROTESTANT SERVICES: A General Protestant Worship Service is offered Sunday mornings at 0900, with Sunday School classes (pre-kinder through adult) meeting from 9:15-10:15 year round. Throughout the week bible studies, martial arts, Choir and Praise Team rehearsals are offered as well as ladies' and men's monthly prayer breakfasts. One month's notice for baptisms and four month's notice for marriages are required. Our Youth Group holds bi-weekly meetings and monthly outings and is a popular program for the youth on base. The Protestant Chapel Community sponsors a quarterly fellowship picnic type of event.

CATHOLIC: Mass is celebrated on Sundays at 1030, Mass is also celebrated on Holy Days of Obligation. CCD Classes for kinder through high school are held September through May. The Sacrament of Penance is offered Saturdays at 1700 and by appointment. Also, Masses are available on Holy Days of Obligation. Baptism's require a month's notice and six month's notice is required for Marriages.

JEWISH: A Shabbat Service is held the 2nd Friday of each month at 1915 in the Base Library. This service is facilitated by the Command Chaplain and led by a certified Jewish facilitator.

EVENTS: Chapel-sponsored events are held throughout the year. Some events to look forward to are our Vacation Bible School, Prayer Breakfast, Thanksgiving Potluck, Christmas Music Program, New Years' Eve Prayer Service and Breakfast, and Annual Food Drives. The Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner co-sponsored by the Command Religious Program and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Office is an event to always look forward to.

AMERICAN RED CROSS: Although Air Station Borinquen does not have a full-time Red Cross Staff, we do offer Health and Safety Classes such as Community, Adult, Child and Infant CPR; Standard First Aid; Babysitting Course; and a few others. Our American Red Cross Program is solely run by a volunteer.
