Mission Statement

"The Waterways Management Branch is responsible for the operational oversight of the Aids to Navigation systems within the Fifth Coast Guard District including the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, Cape Fear River, and the Atlantic Coast from New Jersey to North Carolina. This system is composed of nearly 7,000 floating & fixed federal aids to navigation (AtoN) and over 2,500 private AtoN. We serve as the Program Manager for Short Ranged Aids to Navigation, Waterways Management, Domestic Icebreaking, and Radio Navigation."
