Semper Paratus- Team Station Philadelphia
To those reporting to Station Philadelphia...welcome aboard! You can contact the unit at 215-271-4915, the Officer of the Day (OOD) 24 hours 267-549-4860. The OOD will answer any questions you may have and assist you in anyway possible.
If you are reporting directly from boot camp, expect to be challenged. Maintaining your military bearing, remembering lessons learned from boot camp, and staying motivated will serve you well at your new station. Shipmates reporting from other units will be relied upon immediately. Station Philadelphia is small boat station that has a high operational tempo with a variety of missions. Your work is important and you will be depended upon early. When you start training keep in mind the serious nature of your work, lives may depend upon it!
When you report aboard nearly every shipmate will be expected to qualify as: 25 foot Defender Class RBS crewmember, Boarding Team Member, and eventually Tactical Boat Crew Member. Essentially you will be trained as a effective crewmember, law enforcement officer, and in tactical operations. This training and our mission is challenging but also exciting.
There is temporary male and female berthing available at the station. Once you find your own apartment or home you may move when ready. The berthing is typical for overnight duty search and rescue crews, so it is short term. Most new crewmembers stay in this berthing less than 30 days. The crew at the station will assist you in finding the best and safest places to live.
