BMC
Michael Kristiansen is a native of Pensacola, Florida and joined the Coast Guard
in August of 1999. Upon Graduating from the Coast Guard Training Facility Cape
May, New Jersey his assignments are as follows: Coast Guard Station Fort Myers
Beach , Florida from 1999-2003 where he received his Coxswain qualifications on
the 41UTB, 26UTL , and 24UTL. CGC MATINICUS home ported in San Juan, Puerto
Rico from 2003 -2005, where he served as Deck Watch Officer, Boarding Officer,
and Coxswain. He would receive orders in 2005 to report onboard the CGC IBIS
home ported in Cape May, New Jersey where he would serve as the Executive Petty
Officer. In 2007 he departed the CGC IBIS with orders to Coast Guard Station
Annapolis, MD as the Executive Petty Officer. He would serve at Annapolis from
2007-2010 receiving his Multi Mission Ashore certification. In 2010 he once
again received orders to report as the Executive petty officer of Aids to
Navigation Team Mobile, AL. After Advancing to Chief Petty Officer he received
orders to Coast Guard Station Indian River Inlet, Delaware where he is currently
the Officer in Charge.
BM1 John A. Holmes IV was born August 29, 1980 in Elkton ,
MD. At the age of twenty he enlisted into the United States
Coast Guard and graduated shortly after from the Coast Guard Training
Center in Cape May , NJ . His first tour was at Station Milford Haven
in Hudgins , VA where he quickly advanced through the ranks and
prepared himself for his future career. In June 2005, Holmes was
transferred as a Petty Officer Second Class to Coast Guard Cutter
Diligence home ported in Wilmington , NC . Here he spent the next three
years patrolling the Caribbean conducting Alien Migrant Interdiction
Operations (AMIO) and Counter Drug Operations. In May 2008
Holmes left Coast Guard Cutter Diligence as a Petty Officer
First Class.
Machinery Technician First Class Robert West
joined the United States Coast Guard in 1999 after serving in the Navy for 3
years. He spent 2 years on the USS America CV66 as a fuels specialist. His next
tour was on the USS WASP working in the hangar deck. MK1 West's previous
assignments in the Coast Guard include tours with USCGC RUSH (WHEC 723) home
ported in Honolulu HI; Coast Guard Station Galveston; and Coast Guard Training
Center in Yorktown, Virginia.
BM1 Travis S. Mills was born in Havre De Grace, Maryland on March 26,
1981. After joining the
Coast Guard in June of 2002 he was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter
Beluga (WPB-87325) home ported in Little Creek, VA from August 2002 until April
2005 where he qualified as small boat coxswain, boarding team member, quarter
master of the watch, Inport Officer of the Day, Inport Engineer of the Watch and
advanced to BM3. His next billet was with Patrol Forces Southwest Asia based out
of Bahrain from May 2005 to June 2006. Petty Officer Mills’ duties included
shore side logistical support and force protection watchstander. After returning
stateside he was stationed aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Block Island (WPB-1344)
home ported in Atlantic Beach, NC from July 2006 to December 2008. While
stationed onboard the 110 ft patrol boat he became qualified as Underway Officer
of the Deck, small boat coxswain, quartermaster of the watch, boarding team
member, shipboard EMT, Inport Officer of the Day, inport Engineer of the Watch,
and advanced to BM2. After departing the Block Island Petty Officer Mills’
transferred to Patrol Forces Southwest Asia to report aboard the Coast Guard
Cutter Monomoy (WPB-1326) home ported in Bahrain and operating in the North
Arabian Gulf off the coast of Iraq. He was the navigation petty officer onboard
and maintained his certifications as Underway Officer of the Deck, Inport
Officer of the Day, Inport Engineer of the Watch,, small boat coxswain, and
boarding team member. BM1 Mills transferred to Sta Indian River Inlet after
returning stateside in January 2010. He was promoted to BM1 in November 2010 and
assumed the role as Operations Petty Officer.
