SECTOR NORTH CAROLINA
Master Chief Ronald L. Latronico has served as Command Master Chief of
Sector North Carolina since July of 2011.
Prior to this tour he served as the Sector Command Master Chief for
Sector Northern New England in Portland, ME.
His previous tours in surface operations include Group Seattle WA and
Group Portland OR.
After attending basic training in 1986 Master Chief Latronico was assigned
to the Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star, a 399 foot icebreaker homeported in
Seattle, WA where he served for 11 months before attending Radioman School
in Petaluma, CA. After
successfully completing his training he was assigned to Communications
Station Kodiak, AK. In addition he
has served on the Coast Guard Cutter Polar Sea, a sister ship to the Polar
Star also located in
Master Chief Latronico applied for and was accepted into the Coast Guard
Advanced Computers and Electronics Training program in 2001.

His awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Coast Guard
Achievement Medal (2), the Commandants Letter of Commendation, the Coast
Guard Meritorious Team Award (5) and a variety of other unit awards and
service ribbons.
Son of Master Chief and Mrs. Robert L. Latronico, Master Chief Latronico has
two siblings who have both served in the military.
He is married to the former Laura Konecsny who is the daughter of a
Coast Guard Master Chief. He has two sons Ryan and Kyle.
