Originally from Poolesville, MD, LTJG Alex Eames Graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Environmental Science.

Upon graduation LTJG Eames reported as Deck Watch Officer on Coast Guard Cutter BEAR (WMEC 901) where he served as the First Lieutenant. In the summer of 2011 he transferred to the Coast Guard Cutter PEA ISLAND (WPB 1347)  to serve as the Executive Officer of the Port Crew. 

LTJG Eames currently serves as the Executive Officer on CGC BLOCK ISLAND. His duties include administration, personnel, discipline, Maritime Law Enforcement Boarding Officer, and Deck Watch Officer duties.
