Originally from Honolulu, HI LTJG Nick Zieser graduated from the US Coast Guard Academy in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Management.

Upon graduation LTJG Zieser reported as a Deck Watch Officer on Coast Guard Cutter GALLATIN (WHEC 721) where he served as the Gunnery Officer.

LTJG Zieser currently serves as the Executive Officer on CGC BLOCK ISLAND. His duties include administration, personnel, discipline, Maritime Law Enforcement Boarding Officer, and Deck Watch Officer duties.
