Base Elizabeth City is located in northeastern North Carolina and sits along the banks of the Pasquotank River near the opening of the Albemarle Sound. It is located about 50 miles from the historic Outer Banks of North Carolina and its beautiful beaches and about 50 miles from the Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth, (Hampton Roads) Virginia area.
Base Elizabeth City duties include maintaining pay and personnel records, provide transportation and vehicle logistics support, medical and dental services, food services, security services, environmental services, information systems support services, and MWR services. Base Elizabeth City maintains 800 acres of real estate, including runways and taxiways, roadways, and resident buildings.
