Sector Juneau Response Department consists of three divisions; Enforcement, Incident Management and the Command Center. Enforcement is responsible for the operation and administration of Sector's Maritime Homeland Security and other Law Enforcement missions, including: Ports, Waterways, and Coastal Security/Homeland Security; the division also directly oversees the scheduling, deployment and administration of Sector's two multi-mission stations and three 110' patrol boats. Due to its operational nature they work very closely with the Sector Command Center. Incident Management is responsible for pollution response activities including vessel groundings, mystery sheens, oil discharges/hazardous material releases and non-tank vessel response as well as overseeing the scheduling, administration of the Sector's Aids to Navigation Team that services 889 Aids to navigation and maintains a 65' Inland Buoy Tender. The Command Center coordinates and responds to Search and Rescue, Homeland Security, Pollution, Law Enforcement and Fisheries issued involving the local maritime community. The Command Center works in unison with other Federal, State and local agencies, and share responsibility for managing incidents and provides additional response resources. Sector Juneau Response Department serves these responsibilities throughout Southeast Alaska.
