Unit Description

The United States Coast Guard Cutter LIBERTY (WPB 1334) is the thirty-fourth of the Coast Guard's 110' Island Class Fast Patrol Boat, which was designed to replace the older 95' and 82' WPB Classes. LIBERTY was commissioned on 6 October 1989 and relieved USCGC CAPE CARTER (WPB 95319), who was decommissioned. Homeported in Auke Bay, Alaska, the CGC Liberty is a 110-foot, multi-mission patrol boat operating in an area of responsibility within the coastal waters of Southeast Alaska.
