Captain
White reports to Sector Guam after graduating from the U.S. Marine War
College in Quantico, VA
Prior to attending U.S. Marine War College, Captain White served as the
Branch Chief, Officer Assignments within the Officer Personnel Management
division at the Coast Guard Personnel Service Center (PSC-OPM) in Arlington,
VA. She led a team of 14
Assignment Officers, approved all assignments for Lieutenant Commanders and
below and provided assignment recommendations to the Commander Assignment
Panel. Before PSC-OPM, Captain
White was the Deputy Sector Commander for Sector Charleston.
Sector Charleston’s area of responsibility included two nationally
strategic, tier 1 ports covering 240 miles of coastline and 33,000 square
miles of waterways/sounds/tributaries across SC and GA.
Captain White has served
in a variety of operational assignments, both afloat and ashore. She
served as a Deck Watch Officer aboard USCGC DECISIVE, homeported in
Captain White is a 1989 graduate of the United States
Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT where she earned a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
In 2002, she earned a Masters of Science degree in Operations
Research from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.
