MECM Jorin M. Dworshak
Command Master Chief, USCG Sector Guam
Master Chief Enforcement Specialist Jorin Dworshak is a native of Mesa, Arizona. He initially enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1990 and was assigned to various units in Okinawa, Japan. He then enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1995 and was assigned to the CGC Boutwell upon graduation from USCG Training Center Cape May. Following this, he attended Electronics Technician “A” School and was subsequently assigned to Electronics Support Unit Honolulu. His past assignments as an ET include Electronics Support Detachment San Diego, CA; USCGC Steadfast, Astoria, OR;USCGC Sequoia, Apra Harbor, GU; and Communications Station Kodiak, AK. On January 1, 2010, he changed rates to become a Chief Maritime Enforcement Specialist and was assigned to instructor duty at the North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center, Kodiak, AK. His past assignments as an ME include Maritime Security Response Team, Chesapeake, VA; and Sector New York’s Enforcement Division, Staten Island, NY.
Master Chief Dworshak’s awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal (2), Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Commandant’s Letters of Commendation (2), and various personal and unit awards. He has also earned the permanent Cutterman insignia. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from the University of Alaska’s Kodiak College, and is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Management from Saint Joseph’s College, Brooklyn, NY. He is a proud 2009 graduate of the Air Force’s Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Class 09-C; and a 2015 graduate of the Senior Enlisted Leadership Course, Class 49.
