This page is dedicated to keeping the families of friends of crewmembers on board KUKUI informed of what the cutter has been up to. It will be updated periodically following completion of patrols, morale events, advancements, etc.
25 October 2008 - The CO's first ever "Run, Walk, or Crawl" event was held on Midway. Great job to everyone on finishing the 2 mile course. The weather was less than ideal but most everyone had a good time. Click here to see the photos.
6 December 2008 - Family Cruise! Thanks to everyone for getting underway with us - including Santa Claus, who made a surprise visit and brought gifts for the kids. We hope you had a great time steaming off the coastline of Waikiki. The weather couldn't have cooperated any better. Stand by for pictures, I will be uploading them soon.
8 December 2008 - Several members of KUKUI partook in the 21K EXTERRA World Championship trail run at Kuoloa Ranch. Congrats to LCDR Matadobra, LT Houck, LTjg Klein, LTjg Unpingco, LTjg Dolan, ENS Romano, and CWO Shelton on finishing the event. Stand by for pictures, I will be uploading them soon.
19 December 2008 - Kukui held its 2nd Annual Christmas Party at the Hide-Away Club. In addition to eating food from Wahoo's Fish Taco and enjoying each others company, everyone partook in a white elephant gift exchange. I was unable to attend this event so please contact me if you have some good photos. Thanks to Ashleigh Rodriguez and ENS Romano for setting up the event!
10 April 2009 - KUKUI held a Change of Command. Welcome aboard to LCDR Bob Little. Fair winds and following seas to LCDR Matadobra. Click here to see photos.
