Station History & General Information Station Portland is a relatively new station, having been established on 18 August 1997. In 1997, the station was billeted for 16 active duty personnel, that number has increased to 24. Station Portland also has about 37 reserve personnel assigned. The station on average conducts 600 boarding's and executes over 150 SAR cases annually. Station Portland is a multi-mission unit that maintains a one "B-0" resource throughout the year. The station is primarily responsible for search & rescue with an equal emphasis on homeland security.
