AETCM Jon Moan
Master Chief Jon “Eric” Moan assumed his duties as the Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles Command Master Chief in July 2010. As the senior enlisted advisor to the Commanding Officer, Master Chief Moan advises on enlisted workforce policies and acts as the sounding board for enlisted administrative actions. Master Chief Moan also devotes much time traveling throughout the AOR observing training and communicating with Coast Guard active duty and reserves.
Master Chief Moan’s most recent assignment was as aviation leading chief of Air Station Astoria Oregon. Previous units include USCGC MIDGETT, AT “A” school, Air Station Kodiak Alaska, Air Station Port Angeles Washington, Air Station Borinquen, Puerto Rico, Air Station Sitka Alaska, and Integrated Support Command Kodiak Alaska.
Master Chief Moan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Master Chief Moan’s personal awards include Coast Guard Achievement Medal, two Commandant Letters of Commendation, eight Coast Guard Good Conduct awards and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. He has also earned aircrew qualifications in the HH-3F Pelican, HH-52A Sea Guard, HH-65A Dolphin, and HH-60J Jayhawk helicopters. Master Chief Moan is a graduate of the Chief Petty Officer Academy class 80 and the Senior Enlisted Command Master Chief Course.
