Demonstration, Display or Participation Requests
Coast Guard resources are often requested for demonstrations, static displays or participation in training or events. If your organization is seeking the participation of a Coast Guard aircraft, please download the "Request for Military Aerial Support" document DD Form 2535 file and be prepared to provide the information required. Then contact the Air Operations Officer at (503) 861-6217 or email
AOPS. Don't be intimidated by the form. It is used by all military services and is intended to answer many issues which are of concern for flight safety by participants.
If you are requesting participation of a boat resource from one of the Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat Stations,
Station Portland or the Aids to Navigation Teams, contact the
Sector Enforcement Branch Chief at (503) 861-6246 or email
ENFORCEMENT. You do not need to complete the DD form but will have to answer most of the same questions.
Demonstration or Display Planning:
- Group name or originator of request
- Primary point of contact and phone number
- Location including geographic reference and latitude-longitude coordinates
- Date and time requested
- Alternates for date and times
- Other agencies involved
- Type and number of other aircraft or boats involved
- Total number of persons expected to be participating / observing
- What is the main purpose of the training or event
- What is your desired outcome with respect to having Coast Guard resources participate
