Per COMDINST M5100.5, MOTOR VEHICLE AND RECREATIONAL OFF_DUTY SAFETY MANUAL, Ch. 4, Section B.4, all military riders shall be required to attend one motorcycle safety course prior to riding their motorcycle on or off base. Training is required regardless of whether the member has a motorcycle endorsement on their driver's license.
Ch. 4, Section B.5 requires periodic Refresher Training every five years or following the purchase or changing the size and type of motorcycle.
The following link shows Motorcycle Safety Courses offered at area Navy bases. These courses are at no cost to military members. It shows all currently offered courses and will walk you through the self enrollment process for whichever class works best for your schedule.
Motorcycle Safety Training shall be logged into Direct Access.
