Team Coordination Training Requirements

TEAM COORDINATION TRAINING REQUIREMENTS for Auxiliary Members

MAY 2004

COMDINST 1541.1	Annual training target is 4,200 Auxiliarists Qualified AUX serving in boat crew AUX serving on CG vessels AUX OPCEN/COMCEN watch standers Biennial TCT Training is required Active duty units to include AUX in requests for training
Qualified Coxswains & Boat Crew	Attend annual District AUX OPS Workshop that includes TCT review and/or discussion…Complete 8 hour TCT course prior to JUNE 2004 & once every five years thereafter.
Coxswain & Boat Crew Candidates	Complete 8 hour TCT course the year attain qualification and demonstrate to QE understanding of TCT and Risk Management Principles and skills.
QE’S	All QE’s encouraged to complete 8 hour TCT course prior to 01 OCT 98…QE’s to attend District AUX OPS Workshop which includes TCT review. Once the 8 hour course is completed, QE’s must repeat course every two years thereafter to retain QE Qualification. This requirement is satisfied if the QE is a qualified TCT facilitator and has taught at least one course (8 or 16 hours) in the last two years.
QE Candidates	Effective 01 OCT 98, must complete 8 hour course prior to being designated a QE…must demonstrate to QE review Board understanding of TCT and Risk Management Principles.
