Local Hotels for House Hunting
For Hotels in the area we suggest staying in the Embassy Suites. It's right next to the airport about 2-3 mins from the air station. It will give you a good idea on how long your commute might be to work. On government orders the rate is $128, which includes breakfast, and happy hour drinks.
A second Hotel, which many have stayed in, is the Redondo Beach Best Western. It's about 15 mins from the air station, and less expensive - on government orders their rates are $110.00.
Medical
Medical services are provided through Aerospace Medicine at the Los Angeles Air force Base at 483 N. Aviation Blvd. To set up an appointment please contact the receptionist at 310-653-6870.
Clinic Hours are as follows: M-F 0700-1600 with a one hour lunch break at 1200.
Sick Call Hours: M-F 0730-0830.
The Clinic is CLOSED on Saturday, Sunday, and the first Thursday of every month.
