Command Master Chief Stephens serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader to the Eleventh Coast Guard District Commander, Pacific Southwest Region. The Eleventh District encompasses the states of Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and California to include its coastal and offshore waters, and the offshore waters of Mexico and Central America down to South America.
She is the principal advisor to the Commander on all enlisted matters. Her responsibilities include providing the Commander with the enlisted perspective on strategic vision, goals, objectives, and enlisted professional development. Additionally, she is responsible for mentoring Senior Enlisted Leaders throughout the Sectors, Air Stations and subunits, as well as coordinating with Headquarters Staff Agencies, Commanders, and Senior Enlisted Personnel on matters pertaining to the commandís mission, vision, core values, and commanderís intent and enlisted utilization.
Master Chief Stephens' previous Coast Guard assignments include Storekeeper School Chief, Training Center Petaluma, CA; Senior Finance Compliance Assessor, Force Readiness Command Detachment, Norfolk, VA; Contracting Officer, Integrated Support Command Boston, MA; Independent Duty Storekeeper, Activities Europe, Rotterdam, Netherlands; USCGC SENECA, Boston, MA; Contracting Officer, Air Station North Bend, OR; and as a Procurement Specialist at Surface Forces Logistics Command, Baltimore, MD. Master Chief Stephens' prior Navy service includes Admiral's Driver, Naval Operations Base, Norfolk, VA and Procurement/Voucher Specialist at U.S. Navy Headquarters Support Command, Norfolk, VA.
Master Chief Stephens' personal awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, four Coast Guard Achievement Medals, three Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbons, and numerous other individual and unit awards.
