Command Master Chief Stephens serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the Eleventh Coast Guard District Commander. In this capacity she provides advice to the District Commander on issues and initiatives pertaining to all Coast Guard members and their families throughout the District. The Eleventh District encompasses the states of Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and California to include its coastal and offshore waters, and the offshore waters of Mexico and Central America down to South America. Most recently, Master Chief Stephens served as the Storekeeper 'A' School Chief in Petaluma, California.
Master Chief Stephens' previous Coast Guard assignments include Senior Finance Compliance Assessor, Force Readiness Command Detachment, Norfolk, VA; Contracting Officer, Integrated Support Command Boston, MA; Independent Duty Storekeeper, Activities Europe, Rotterdam, Netherlands; USCGC SENECA, Boston, MA; Contracting Officer, Air Station North Bend, OR; and as a Procurement Specialist at Supply Center Curtis Bay (now Surface Forces Logistics Command), Baltimore, MD. Master Chief Stephens' prior Navy service includes Admiral's Driver, Naval Operations Base, Norfolk, VA and Procurement/Voucher Specialist at U.S. Navy Headquarters Support Command, Norfolk, VA.
Master Chief Stephens' personal awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, four Coast Guard Achievement Medals, three Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbons, and numerous other individual and unit awards.
Master Chief Stephens is a graduate of United States Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Class 04-B. She is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill's, Institute for Defense and Business, Log 21: Logistics for the 21st Century course in February 2010 and the Senior Enlisted Leadership Course (formerly Command Master Chief Course) in August of 2005. She is currently pursuing her Associates Degree in Accounting from DeVry University.
