Logistics Department Head and Commanding Officer of Military Personnel

Commander Peter F. Brady, Jr. is currently serving as the Logistics Department Head and Commanding Officer of Military Personnel at Sector Southeastern New England in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.

Commander Brady is a 1993 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.  Upon graduation from the Coast Guard Academy, then ENS Brady was stationed in Boston, MA where he served in the USCGC SPENCER as a Deck Watch Officer and Weapons Officer.  In 1995, LTJG Brady was transferred to the Maritime Intelligence Center in Miami, FL where he served as an Intelligence Officer conducting drug and migrant analysis.  Following this tour, LT Brady moved back to Boston to serve in the Law Enforcement Branch at the First Coast Guard District.  Upon completion, LT Brady attended graduate school at the University of Massachusetts.  In 2001, LT Brady was transferred to Baltimore, MD where he served in the Financial Management Branch at the Engineering Logistics Center.  Upon promotion to LCDR, he was transferred to Coast Guard Headquarters where he served as the Financial Management Program Manager.  In 2006, LCDR Brady transferred to the Coast Guard Air Station in Cape Cod, MA to serve as the Comptroller.  Following his promotion to CDR, he transferred to Sector Southeastern New England in April 2009.

Commander Brady’s educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematical and Computer Sciences.  Commander Brady’s military awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Coast Guard Achievement Medal (2 awards), the Commandant’s Letter of Commendation (2 awards) and various other medals and ribbons.

Commander Brady is originally from Holyoke, MA and now resides in East Sandwich, MA with his wife Kelly and his two sons Joseph and Peter III.
