Ronny W. German
Sector Southeastern New England Command Senior Chief
Senior Chief Petty Officer Ronny W. German assumed the duties as Sector
Southeastern New England’s Command Senior Chief in July 2009. His primary
duty is to advise Captain Raymond J. Perry, the Commander of Sector
Southeastern New England, on issues and initiatives pertaining to all Coast
Guard members and their families assigned to the Sector.
Senior Chief German entered the United States Coast Guard in 1993 and
attended recruit training at Training Center Cape May as a member of Recruit
Company I-142. Following recruit training he reported to the Coast Guard
Cutter Basswood (WLB-388) in Agana,
Guam
where he served as a member of the deck force and qualified as a Coast Guard
Scuba Diver. In June of 1995 he was transferred to group
Mayport,
Florida until receiving orders to ASM
A
School.
Upon graduation from ASM A School,
Senior Chief German was assigned to Air station Brooklyn, New York
where he earned his wings as an HH-65A Rescue Swimmer and served until the
Decommissioning of the Air Station in May 1998.
Senior Chief German then served at Air Station Borinquen, Puerto Rico
from June 1998-June 2001 and later
Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii
from 2001-2005. Prior to his current assignment as Sector Southeastern New
England’s Command Senior Chief, he served at Coast Guard Sector San Diego as
the Aviation Survival Shop Chief, Aviation Training Chief, and qualified
HH-60J Rescue Swimmer.
Senior Chief German is a 2005 graduate of the Coast
Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy - class CXXII, and the Coast Guard Senior
Enlisted Command Master Chief Course, and numerous other specialized
training courses. He is married to the former Angela Sablan and has two
children, Malia and Asher.
