Automobile Insurance

All Coast Guard personnel stationed on the MMR must have a valid Coast Guard registration decal issued under the First District.
Personnel who do not have a valid registration decal shall report to the Safety Office,
Building 5216 within 1 week of arrival.
To register, you must present a valid driver’s license, military ID, automobile registration and proof of insurance.
Massachusetts has a no-fault automobile insurance law and you must carry certain minimum coverage even if your vehicle will remain registered in another state.
Minimum coverage includes; Bodily injury - $10,000/$20,000.
Personal injury - $2000, uninsured Motorist - $10,000/20,000.
Property Damage - $5000.
Proof of insurance for base registration should consist of the actual policy reflecting these coverages.
