Building 5215

Phone Number 508-968-6309

Please call to set up an appointment. Members must have a copy of approved orders in order to receive counseling.

The Air Station Cape Cod Servicing Personnel Office counsels members of all military branches in receipt of PCS and TDY orders on entitlements to ship household goods. The office handles over 300 shipments per year, servicing all units on Cape Cod and the South Shore region of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We do require that all members attend a one-on-one counseling session within our office or over the phone to explain entitlements, responsibilities, and the damage claim filing process.

To expedite the counseling process, members are asked to self counsel through the Defense Personal Property System (DPS) site, located at www.move.mil. They will be required to create a username using their SSN or EMPLID (USCG) and create a profile complete with contact info and alternate contacts. *NOTE* Turn off the pop-up blocker for this website.

The purpose of DPS is to give members more control of their move during the transfer process. Within DPS, members can select pack and pick up dates, schedule a delivery, update addresses once a residence has been found, monitor status of shipments in storage, and file damage claims.

Below is a link with step by step instruction instructions on how to utilize all features available in the self-service functions.

Members are not required to perform self counseling if this is their first (home of record) or last (separation) move, or if they are not the property owner (POA or Summary Courts Officer).
