This section provides Coast Guard supervisors and managers an overview of the Workforce Relations program (CG-1214) and key information on the primary functional components in the employee and labor relations area. Supervisors and managers can access instructions, references, and other Federal web sites provided in this section pertaining to employee and labor relations. Supervisors and managers may review applicable desk references and books available in the HR office.

The Office of Civilian Personnel, Workforce Relations, CG-1214 staff provides expert advice and guidance on using disciplinary and adverse actions to correct employee conduct and performance problems and on meeting statutory labor relations obligations in managing the day-to-day working relationships with unions.
