Field Services Division


Functions


Under the general direction and supervision of the Director, C4IT Service Center, the Chief, Field Services Division shall:

Lead configuration management, compliance, and enforcement; oversee engineering development and sustainment processes; oversee requirements management; oversee facilities; and provide oversight for new/special projects.
Ensure compliance with established engineering policy across all product lines and core technologies.
Ensure configuration management processes are followed.
Ensure C4IT engineering best practices are employed, including System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), engineering change processes; integrated logistics support plan, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), test equipment calibration, and Maintenance Procedure Card (MPC) development and sustainment.
Implement policies and procedures governing creation, revision, and dissemination of all Coast Guard C4IT technical publications.
Produce, distribute, archive, and retrieve technical documentation to support the C4IT Service Center product lines and core technologies.
Provide technical writing and drawing services.
Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) across Core Technologies and Product Lines.
Conduct compliance inspections of C4IT Service Center and subordinate units. Coordinate and conduct physical configuration audits with FORCECOM.
Assist Business Operations Division with developing and executing strategic business plan.
Develop and maintain departmental metrics for critical activities to gauge program success and identify areas of concern and report data to Business Operations.
