Contracting and Procurement Division


Functions


  Under the general direction and supervision of the Director, C4IT Service Center, the Chief, of Contracting and Procurement Division shall:

Serve as principal advisor and first point of contact for procurement matters at C4ITSC.

Provide oversight, guidance and management of entire C4ITSC contracting process to include contract support to all divisions, administering warranties and contractor maintenance programs for CG C4IT, and maintaining all contracting personnel training, certification and background investigation certification records.

Manage all C4ITSC contracts from initial issue through closeout in accordance with DHS and CG policies to meet audit requirements and proper stewardship expectations.
Oversee C4ITSC antecedent liability program in order to minimize likelihood of antecedent liabilities and to properly resolve antecedent liability issues when they arise.
Manage government-wide credit card program within C4ITSC including training and appointment of credit card users.
Provide contractor background information program in accordance with DHS and CG policy in order to ensure only qualified contracted employees are given access to CG systems.
Provide Contracting Officer's Warrant Program including determining level of warrants needed, nomination of individuals and issuance of warrants.
Provide procurement policy guidance and training to all C4ITSC procurement officials to ensure a well trained work force properly adheres to DHS and CG policy.
