Welcome to Base Support Unit Portsmouth! On September 28, 2009 Integrated Support Command (ISC) Portsmouth was Disestablished.  Three new units, Base Support Unit (BSU); Personnel Services and Support Unit (PSSU); and Health, Safety and WorkLife Field Office (HSWL FO) Portsmouth, were established on this date to continue providing services to ISC's customers.

Base Support Unit (BSU) provides base utilities, all building and grounds maintenance, and  enforce environmental responsibilities for the base; provides all shore services to home ported and visiting vessels; Comptroller support; manages Shipping and Receiving, warehouse facilities; and base security.

CGES Information

As of September 30th 2008 when entering Base Portsmouth, all individuals age 16 and older are required to present a federally or state issued picture ID prior to entering the base, not just the driver. At least one occupant of the vehicle must show a valid military/ dependent ID.  Please ensure all individuals in the vehicle have their IDs prior to arrival at the gate to avoid delays.
