Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System

Location: Coast Guard Building, Personnel Support Department, Room 143
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday
0700 – 1500
In addition to providing information to your SPO Yeoman to ensure your pay benefits begin, you need to have your spouse enrolled in DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System), so he or she can receive an identification card and be eligible for TRICARE and dental benefits.
As of 01JUL2013 members are required to submit their source documents through their respective servicing SPO and updates will be made in Direct Access before a CAC/ID card can be issued.
It is the Coast Guard members’ responsibility to provide the following documentation and information to the ID Card office before visiting:
Child or Dependant
Marriage license/certificate (original or clear copy)
Birth certificate or equivalent
Spouse’s Social Security card (original preferred, or clear copy)
Social Security Card (if you have it)
Spouse’s Date of Birth
Child’s height, weight, eye color, & hair color
Spouse’s height, weight, eye color, & hair color
Spouse must bring valid photo ID when getting initial military dependant ID card.
For your convenience, if you or your dependants need to get ID cards renewed and this specific office is unavailable, military ID’s can be issued at any military ID card issuing facility in the area. A list of those facilities is provided for your convenience:
