SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR 2013 RESERVE POLICY BOARD AGENDA TOPICS

B. Coast Guard Reserve Policy Board, COMDTINST 5725.1 (series)
1. This message solicits policy issues to be considered by the 2013
Reserve Policy Board (RPB).  The Board, mandated by Ref (A), is an
important forum for ensuring matters affecting the operational
Reserve component are brought to the awareness of and discussed at
the highest levels of the service.
2. Policy issues shall be forwarded, in standard CG memorandum
format, through the chain of command, the appropriate DXR, and LANT
or PAC-51.  Memorandums are to be uploaded to the RPB submissions
folder at http://www.uscg.mil/reserve/policy.  All submissions
require a command endorsement (positive or negative) and must be
received by the 3 Dec 2012 deadline.
3. Each submission must include at a minimum:
   A. A statement of the problem or issue,
   B. Current policy and or statute,
   C. Number of reservists affected,
   D. A summary of efforts previously taken to address the issue, and
   E. Recommended corrective action.
4. In accordance with Ref (B), the RPB will meet early in Spring 2013
to address those topics most likely to yield high-level, service wide
policy changes for full consideration at RPB convening.
