SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR GEICO MILITARY SERVICE AWARD
1.  The GEICO Military Service Award annually pays tribute to an
enlisted service member from each branch of the armed services as
well as one drilling reserve enlisted member from all components for
their special achievements and contributions to the public good of
the civilian and/or military community.  The award recognizes
achievements or contributions in the following categories:
   a. Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention.
   b. Fire Safety and Fire Prevention.
   c. Traffic Safety and Accident Prevention.
2.  Each service winner will receive a plaque to commemorate the
members achievement and two thousand five hundred dollars, to be
awarded in Washington, DC on 29 April 2013.
3.  Geico will pay for lodging and round-trip transportation to
Washington, DC for the winner and his/her spouse.  Runners-up will be
recognized by GEICO for their accomplishments.
4.  Eligibility is open to active duty and reserve members.  Active
duty nominees should have at least one more year of obligated
service.  All nominations should be for significant contributions
during the year ending 30 SEP 12 or for ongoing endeavors.

6.  Request all packages be sent by contract 2 day express mail
