SUBJ: HALF MASTING OF NATIONAL ENSIGN
A. U.S. Coast Guard Regulations 1992, COMDTINST M5000.3 (SERIES)
1. As directed by the President of the United States, the National
Ensign shall be flown at half mast effective immediately through
Sunday, 16 September 2012, from sunrise to sunset, as a mark of
respect for the memory of John Christopher Stevens, U.S. Ambassador
to Libya, and American personnel killed in the attack on the U.S.
consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
2. The National Ensign shall be flown at half mast on all Coast Guard
buildings, grounds and vessels not underway.
3. Admiral Bob Papp, Commandant, sends.
