This ALCOAST solicits nominations for BEYA STEM recognition awards. These awards recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves in STEM and community service areas and who best epitomize our core values. This year, the Coast Guard and other military services will participate in the annual national career conference and award ceremony to recognize outstanding members of the STEM community for their significant contributions. The award recipients will be recognized during the 2013 BEYA STEM conference at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC on 8-9 February 2013. 2. Award Criteria. Specific award categories and criteria can be found at the BEYA STEM website https://intouch.site-ym.com/page/awards2/. All STEM civilian, reserve, and active duty members of the Coast Guard are eligible for these awards. The nomination must describe how nominees have distinguished themselves through exemplary and significant contributions to our service, the nation, and fulfill the criteria for the specific award to which nominated. 3.
