SUBJ: COAST GUARD FOUNDATION ENLISTED RESERVE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

1. Every year, the Coast Guard Foundation sponsors six 1,000 dollar
scholarships to help offset the costs of higher education for
enlisted Coast Guard reservists or their dependents.
2. I am pleased to announce the following 2012-2013 Coast Guard
Foundation Enlisted Reserve Scholarship winners (alphabetical order):
    a. SK1 Terri D. Bella, ESU Alameda, attending San Jose State
University. SK1 Bella is pursuing a bachelors degree in Molecular
Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
    b. ET1 Joshua D. Fowler, ESD Buffalo, attending Empire State
College. ET1 Fowler is pursuing a bachelors degree in Public Affairs
with a concentration in Homeland Security.
    c. YN2 Andrea D. Green, Sector Mobile, attending Embry Riddle
Aeronautical University. YN2 Green is pursuing a bachelors degree in
Technical Management.
    d. MST1 Nicholas M. Ikpogu, Sector New York, attending Thomas
Edison State College. MST1 Ikpogu is pursuing a bachelors degree in
Business Administration.
    e. MST1 Christopher R. McBrayer, Sector Corpus Christi, attending
Texas A and M University. MST1 McBrayer is pursuing a bachelors
degree in Computer Science.
    f. ME2 Marcin A. Wilga, MSU Chicago, attending Saint Leo
University. ME2 Wilga is pursuing a bachelors degree in Criminal
Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security.
3. Congratulations to all scholarship winners.
4. The quality of submissions this year was extremely high.
Applicants not selected for a scholarship are commended for their
initiative and pursuit of higher education. I encourage you to
compete again next year and wish you every success in completing your
educational and career goals.
