The Commandant, as delegated by the Secretary of Homeland Security, approved the report of the 2012 Coast Guard Reserve Policy Board (RPB) convened on 2 May 2012. Ref (A) invited commands as well as any member, active or reserve, to submit issues to the RPB. This message outlines the disposition of the issues submitted. 2. The RPB received seventy-two submissions for consideration. Of the seventy-two submissions, sixty were indentified to be complete, already in progress, or non-policy issues. The RPB reviewed and made recommendations on the remaining twelve submissions. 3. The twelve submissions considered by the RPB were categorized into five strategic policy issues for disposition. Two of the strategic issues were recommended for consideration by the Department of Defense (DoD) Reserve Forces Policy Board (RFPB), two were recommended for internal CG policy change, and one was deferred awaiting the final report from an associated workgroup. 3. Commands and members are encouraged to log onto CG Portal to view the final report approved by the Commandant.
