LEADERSHIP TRAINING CONFERENCE

1.  AAGEN will hold its Eighth Annual Leadership Training Conference
on 7 June in Crystal City, VA.  The theme of this conference is
Leadership in an Austere Environment and the agenda is focused on
managing a professional career and preparing for a future in public
service.  This conference is open to all Federal employees and will
provide training and workshops in areas such as Adaptability,
Leveraging Diversity in Government, Interviewing, and Leading in an
Environment of Continuous Change.  The conference will also feature
guest speakers who hold various leadership roles in the Federal
government.  Amplifying information about the conference can be found

2.  The Coast Guard Chief Financial Officer (CFO/COMDT (CG-8)), as
the USCG Senior Financial Officer, has reviewed and approved USCG
attendance/participation at this conference.  This approval
authorizes service obligation of appropriated funds for the purpose
of attending and supporting participation at the AAGEN Conference.
