NATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM

1.  SAIGE will hold its annual National Training Program June 3-8 in
Denver, CO.  This event provides forums on the issues, opportunities
and challenges of American Indians/Alaska Natives and the government
work community.   This event is open to everyone and offers plenary
sessions with knowledgeable speakers and workshops in six tracks,
including Indian Country, Equal Employment Opportunity and Human
Resources, Culture and Diversity, Indigenous Natural Resources,
Professional Development and Wellness.  The conference will also
feature guest speakers who hold various leadership roles in the
Federal government.  Amplifying information about the conference can

2.  The Coast Guard Chief Financial Officer (CFO/COMDT (CG-8)), as
the USCG Senior Financial Officer, has reviewed and approved USCG
attendance/participation at this conference.  This approval
authorizes service obligation of appropriated funds for the purpose
of attending and supporting participation at this event.  Attendance
at this conference is in compliance with ref A.
