R 301845Z MAR 12 ALCOAST 153/12 COMDTNOTE 1430 SUBJ: MARITIME ENFORCEMENT SPECIALIST (ME) OCCUPATIONAL ANALYSIS (OA) SURVEY 1. The OA survey is the means to capture and define the current world of work for the ME rating. 2. All Maritime Enforcement Specialists (active duty and reserve) will receive an e-mail in April 2012 containing a link to an online OA survey. The ME OA survey will stay active for six weeks. 3. Commands are requested to ensure ample opportunity is given to ME members and all ME personnel are highly encouraged to participate to ensure the data contains a diverse array of billet types and pay grades. This input will contribute to the professional development and readiness of the ME workforce. 4. Data collected from the survey will undergo analysis and then be categorized into a report for Program Manager use. The OA report will be used by the ME Rating Force Master Chief (RFMC) to update the ME Rating Performance Qualifications (RPQ) during an upcoming rating review. The revised RPQs will drive development of new ME resident and non-resident training and development of service-wide examination questions. 5. The survey was developed by the FORCECOM Performance Technology Center (PTC) Occupational Analysis Team in collaboration with the ME RFMC and a team of ME Accomplished Performers. a. The average completion time is 60 minutes. b. The survey is not required to be completed in one session. It may be saved and resumed at a later time. 6.
