SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR WOMEN OF COLOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,
ENGINEERING, AND MATH CONFERENCE AWARDS NOMINATIONS
1.  Career Communications Group, the host of the Women of Color (WOC)
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Conference
(11-13 October 2012), is accepting nominations for the 2012 WOC STEM
Awards.  These awards recognize outstanding women in the STEM fields
and provide excellent opportunities to showcase the superior
achievements of our highest performing military and civilian women.
In addition to recognition at the conference, recipients are also
showcased in Women of Color Magazine.
     A.  The WOC Professional Award categories are:  Affirmative
Action, Career Achievement, Community Service, Corporate
Responsibility, Corporate Promotion of Education, Diversity
Leadership, Entrepreneur Leadership, Managerial Leadership, New
Media/IT Leadership, Outstanding Technical Contribution, Professional
Achievement, and Technical Innovation.
     B.  The WOC STEM Outstanding Achievement Awards are the
Technical
All-Stars and Rising Star.
     C.  Guidance and criteria for all awards are located at

on the WOC STEM Conference can be found at www.womenofcolor.net.
     D.  All nomination packages, along with a written endorsement
from the members Commanding Officer or first O-6/GS-15 in the chain
of command, shall be submitted to COMDT (CG-12B) who will coordinate
final submission to Career Communications Group.  Nomination packages
for all awards in par. 1.A. are due to COMDT (CG-12B) NLT 20 April
2012.  Nomination packages for all awards in par. 1.B. are due to
COMDT (CG-12B) NLT 4 May 2012.
