R 181519Z MAR 13 ALCOAST 114/13 COMDTNOTE 6010 SUBJ: POST-DEPLOYMENT HEALTH REASSESSMENT UPDATE A. Coast Guard Medical Manual, COMDTINST M6000.1 (SERIES) B. Mental Health Assessments for Members of the Armed Forces Deployed in Support of a Contingency Operation, 10 U.S. C. 1074m 1. In accordance with REFS (A) and (B), all Active Duty (AD) and Selected Reserve (SELRES) Coast Guard personnel who are on an expeditionary deployment for at least 30 consecutive days must complete three deployment health assessments (DHAs) and four mental health assessments (MHA). 2. Guidelines and instructions for completing assessments are provided during pre and post deployment processing. The assessments are required at the following times: (Note: MHA (1) and MHA (2) are combined with respective DHAs). a. Pre-DHA/MHA (1): completed during pre-deployment processing. b. Post-DHA: completed during post-deployment processing. c. Post-Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA)/MHA (2): completed 3 - 6 months after Post-DHA. d. MHA (3): completed during next annual Periodic Health Assessment (PHA). e. MHA (4): completed during subsequent PHA. 3. A number of Coast Guard personnel are delinquent in completing their PDHRAs. In upcoming weeks, delinquent Coast Guard members will receive a phone call from Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI) asking them to: a. Complete their PDHRA on the Electronic Deployment Health Assessment (EDHA) website at the URL below, and b. Call LHI to speak with a health care provider to review and complete the form LHI has been approved to use and is authorized to ask for the social security numbers of Coast Guard personnel to complete the PDHRAs. LHI will maintain appropriate security of Sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII). 4. Coast Guard personnel should check the Coast Guard Business Intelligence system to determine if they are delinquent. If delinquent, they should log into the Electronic Deployment Health Assessment (EDHA) at https://164.167.138.44/edha to complete their PDHRA.
