NATIONAL CONVENTION
A. MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS AND AUTHORIZED ABSENCES, COMDTINST M1000.8
(SERIES)
1. The CPOA and CGEA will hold their annual national convention from
12-15 August 2013 at the Hilton Houston North, 12400 Greenspoint
Drive, Houston, Texas.
2. IAW REF A, article 2.A.10, we authorize and encourage commands to
issue permissive orders to members of the CPOA or CGEA who desire to
attend this national convention.
3. A strong and engaged CPOA and CGEA are critically important to our
service.  Participation is instrumental in strengthening leadership
and mentorship within the chiefs mess and ensures command success.
