SUBJ: SOLICITATION FOR NOMINEES FOR THE 2012 COAST GUARD CIVILIAN
EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR (CEOY) AND THE NON-APPROPRIATED FUND EMPLOYEE OF
THE YEAR (NAF EOY)
A. Coast Guard Civilian Employee of the Year (CEOY) Award, COMDTINST
12451.2 (series)
B. Coast Guard Non-Appropriated Fund Employee of the Year (NAF EOY)
Award Program, COMDTINST 12451.3 (series)
1.  Nominations are being accepted for the 2012 CEOY and NAF EOY.
Appropriated fund civilian employees, grades GS-9 or WG-10 and below,
and non-appropriated fund employees are eligible for these
prestigious awards.  Commands are encouraged to thoroughly assess all
eligible GS, WG and NAF employees on their staff and nominate those
deserving of these high level awards.
2.  Refs (A) and (B) and specific nomination/selection criteria can
be viewed at http://www.uscg.mil/civilianhr/awards/awards.asp
3. Nomination packages for the CEOY must be submitted IAW ref (A).
NAF EOY nomination packages must be submitted IAW ref (B).  All
nominations must be submitted in memo format citing achievements and
accomplishments in calendar year 2012.  Please ensure nominations
have been cleared through appropriate chain of command before
submission.  An endorsement letter must also be submitted with each
nomination and include:
    A.  Name, title, rank or grade, and unit/command of nominator,
    B.  Name, title, series, grade, phone number and work mailing
address of the nominee, and
    C.  Name and phone number of the person to contact for further
information about the nomination.
4.  Submit CEOY nominations to Ms. Natisia Wilson, COMDT (CG-1214),
4200 Wilson Blvd, STE 800 STOP 7120, Arlington, VA 20598-7120.  CEOY
Nominations may be emailed in advance to
CivilianAwardSubmission(at)uscg.mil.
5.  Submit NAF EOY Nomination to Ms. Candice Harrison, Coast Guard
Community Services Command, 510 Independence Parkway, STE 500,
Chesapeake, VA 23320-5180.  NAF EOY nominations may be emailed
   to Candice.A.Harrison(at)uscg.mil.
6.  Nominations must be received by COMDT (CG-1214) and Community
Services Command, respectively, by COB 22 February 2013.
7.  Detailed logistical information regarding ceremony and events
will be provided in separate correspondence after selections are
made.
