1. IRT ref a and IAW ref b, a long-term ADOS assignment opportunity
exists for a Reserve IT1/E-6.
The following information applies:
A. Total personnel needed: 1
B. Rank/Rate: IT1/E-6 (ET1 or OS1 acceptable if competent in managing
video teleconferencing systems.)
C. Duration of assignment/requested report date: 01 JAN 2013 - 30 SEP
2013
D. Unit/location: PACAREA (PAC-35) / Alameda, CA
E. Required competencies: Thorough knowledge of video
teleconferencing, audio visual systems, and electronic keying
equipment.  Mbr must be competent at video teleconferencing technical
practices and policy issues, specialized teleconferencing operating
techniques, digital and analog communications requirements, local and
wide area networking and processes used by federal and industry
organizations to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex
telecommunications problems.  Mbr must know Electronic Keying
Material System (EKMS) Procedures and controlling authority to load
onsite VTC encryption devices with Coast Guard and DOD keymat.
Secret security clearance is required.
F. Preferred competencies: Knowledge of Coast Guard and Pacific Area
operational requirements supported by video teleconferencing to
coordinate video teleconferencing and audio/visual communications
with executive or flag-level organizations within the Coast Guard,
DHS and DOD.
G. Direct Access Position Number: 00093956 (Reflects IT1 in direct
Access, however willing to accept ET1/OS1 based upon qualification
and experience of the candidate.)
2. Application/Command Endorsement Requirements: Members must have
command approval, via e-resume command endorsement, to be selected
for this assignment. Use the following information to apply:
A. Interested applicants shall submit their E-resume in Direct Access
NLT 05 DEC 12 for position number listed in paragraph 1.G. E-resume
should outline how member meets the required and/or preferred
competencies. Members must have command endorsement and approval to
be selected for assignment.
B. The command endorsement should specifically recommend/not
recommend applicant for selection, address applicants ability to
perform position requirements, validate members Individual Medical
Readiness (IMR) status as outlined in Chap 3 of ref c and compliance
with CG weight/body fat standards as outlined in ref d. Members with
outdated PHA or dental exams shall be considered Not Fit For Duty
until appropriate examination proves otherwise.
3. Applicants who will accrue more than 16 years of active duty
service upon completion of this active duty assignment shall indicate
cumulative active duty years (this assignment inclusive) on their
E-resume. Applicants accruing 16 or more years of active duty require
prior approval from PSC-rpm IAW ref e.
4. This solicitation will be closed to volunteers on 05 DEC 2012. All
E-resumes (with command endorsements) must be received by this date.
5. This assignment is considered Permanent Change of Station (PCS)
and PCS entitlements are authorized IAW Chap 5 of ref f.
