This message solicits for the National Defense Intelligence College (NDIC) fall 2013 Reserve Masters of Science in Strategic Intel (MSSI) program. 2. MSSI curriculum encompasses core intel disciplines (e.g. analytic methods, collections, operations support, indications and warning), as well as joint warfare operations theory, national security policy and strategy. All MSSI programs include a masters thesis as part of the curriculum. All MSSI applicants must have an undergrad degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and a valid Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score to be considered. Scores are valid for five years. Sections of the GRE that are emphasized in the selection process are verbal and analytical writing. Competitive applicants should have a minimum combined score of 1000 in verbal and quantitative sections and at least a 4.0 in analytical writing. To learn more about the GRE visit: www.gre.org. NDIC is located within the Defense Intel Agency Complex (DIAC), Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, DC. Students attend Saturday and Sunday classes from 0730 to 1600 one weekend a month, and a two-week study program each June. The program begins in August 2013 and consists of seven core courses, five electives and a thesis. Selectees will be required to give up their current SELRES billet and will be placed in temporary SELRES billets to attend NDIC in a pay status. IDT travel costs are not funded by the Coast Guard and will be incurred by the member. All efforts will be made to place reservists in Intel SELRES billets following program completion. Targeted SELRES MSSI candidates: reserve O-3 and O-4. 4. 1 JUN 2012: deadline for required documents and e-resumes to arrrive at CG PSC-RPM. E-resumes submitted after the application deadline will not be accepted. Applicants who do not submit both the required documents and e-resume will not be allowed to compete at this panel. You will receive a system notification ensuring your e-resume was received and properly processed. A. Documents: must include valid GRE scores and copy of all college transcripts/proof of degree(s). Applicants who have a Masters Degree or Doctorate from a regionally accredited college/university are not required to submit GRE scores. A positive command endorsement is required for this program and must contain a written opinion of the applicant's interest, ability, and potential value to the service relating to the curriculum. Any member who does not receive a positive endorsement will not be eligible to compete. Commanding Officers should ensure that they click on the button "mark final" for the member's application to be considered complete.
