Above members who desire a waiver to remain in an active status may apply to CG PSC-rpm via their chain of command. Requests will normally not be approved absent a critical Service need. Completed waiver requests should be submitted to arl-pf-cgpsc-rpm-query(at)uscg.mil following command endorsement. 6. IAW section 8.C.12 of Ref A, retirement requests shall be submitted to CG PSC-rpm between four to 12 months prior to the requested date of retirement. Ref B explains conditions under which Ready Reserve members may qualify for early receipt of retirement pay and the procedures for submitting requests. 7. Above members may request a change in status to the IRR to drill for points as an alternative to retirement or the ISL. This request must be submitted on a CG-1001 per Ref C, and should include a completed over-30-years of service waiver request. However, all retirement eligible reservists must attain 50 points each anniversary year to be retained in the IRR IAW section 4.B.5 of Ref A.
